Yestoday,I write a diary to tell my friend about my sad experience of losing my CN domain that I have uesd for 2 years.
In December,CNNIC(China Internet Network Information Center) made a decosion, from 9 AM Dec.14th, individual is not allowed to register CN domain,only conpanies can.What about those CN domains registered before that date? CNNIC will first stop their resolution service and then they must be checked.If you do not have problems,no adult,no anti-government, your domain will be resumed.
I don’t want to wait a long time to check my site.So do many CN site owners.So after that day,more and more people register COM domain(info,net,org or any else) outside China.Like me,I register a COM domain from godaddy.More and more CN domains are abandoned.CNNIC may realize it is not a good situation.So today I get a news,that CNNIC聽 is considering openning individual register again.
In one month,they made 2 contrary decision.Why do they always change their policy?Want me back?Sorry,you break my heart.
Xmas of 2009 is a sad day for me.
In the morning, when I opened my personal blog to write somthing,I found it was blocked.
In December,China gov. started to beat adult sites both on network and mobile network(like wap) to protect children.
Yes,I support this decision,I ‘m almost 30 years old,maybe in the next few years, I will have a child,I don’t want my children can browse these adult site with no limitation.
But I don’t like the method they used.
Every .CN domain was stopped to be checked.You can’t use your domain unless you register it in the gov.’s site and approved by the gov.
My domain provider gave me a link to register my site.I went to that site and found it is very busy, I even can not open that site easily and the register steps are long and hard for me.Most important,the last step is manual check ,do you konw how many .CN domians in China,more than 18 millions,and now you kown how much time I need to wait.
Yes,adult sites are not good for children,but not all the sites are adult sites.For 0.001% bugs,all .CN domains are punished and checked.My site is only a personal blog ,so no money lose.Big site like google.cn also has no influence because of their best PRI.But what about the site of small business company? What about those e-shops in the network?How much money do they lose?
I decide to forget my .CN domain.These days,I register a new .COM for my new blog http://goshowing.com from godaddy.
Goodbye,My .CN domain~~聽聽 It is not easy to fall in love with you.
