NZR Geologic specializes in Environmental Site Assessments (ESA, Phase I and Phase II) of residential and commercial properties. Of concern to the lender, buyer, or seller of real estate property is the environmental liability of present or historic use of hazardous materials that impacts the soil and groundwater. New York City and surrounding Counties have a long history of industrialization that used hazardous materials and produced wastes that the real property may still have on the site. Examples are machine shops, printing facilities, electrical power plants, auto repair, residential or commercial properties that have Above Ground Storage Tanks or Underground Storage Tanks of petroleum products (ASTs or USTs), and friable Asbestos or lead paint. These real properties should be inspected for such environmental hazards before plans for renovation or reconstruction are implemented. Phase I is the initial investigation of the site and immediate surrounding area for environmental concerns.

NZR's Phase II ESA is the detailed investigation of environmental concerns of the Phase I investigation if there are any on the site by sampling the areas of concern, increasing the scope of interviews, and increasing the scope of Government records reviewed. NZR Geologic performs remediation as indicated by the Phase II investigation. Recommendations for remediation Phase III) are made and NZR Geologic will find the cost effective method the suits our Clients needs.
