• From 1977 to 1985, served as a medical underwriting officer at Northwestern Mutual, conducting underwriting rounds with life and disability underwriters, writing portions of the medical manual (including sole authorship of all cancer underwriting guidelines) and serving as the primary speaker/educator to NM's agents nationwide
