How Do You Spell Change?

Change was in the wind when many of the State Grange Officer announced that they would not accept a nomination to the offices that they currently held. In all twelve officer were changed.

4th Generation Granger Elected New State Grange Master

Thomas E. Stefenoni, a fourth generation Grange member from Sonoma County, was elected Master (President) of the California State Grange (CSG) at its 131st annual Convention, held this year in Ukiah.
The CSG was organized in California in 1873 as a fraternal, family-farm organization.

Bill Steel elected National Grange Master

On Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at the 137th Annual National Grange Convention in Burlington, Vermont, the delegates of the oldest rural advocacy organization in the United States elected Steel to the highest office of the National Grange of the Order of the Patrons of Husbandry.

Your help needed to fight childhood obesity

The California State Grange recently joined the Coalition for a Healthy and Active America (CHAA). CHAA was formed in 2003 by concerned organizations and national leaders to educate parents, children, schools, and communities about the critical roles physical activity and nutrition education play in reversing the alarming trends of childhood obesity.

Grange Youth Conference coming sooner this year!

This year the Grange Youth and Young Adults Conference has been moved from the traditional Easter, Spring-time conference to President’s Holiday weekend, February 13th through 15th.

Grange Youth For America Program cancelled!

The delegates to the Annual Session did not approve of the action of the Executive Committee and cancelled the newly proposed Grange Youth For America Program.

State Grange Policy Resolutions

The delegates to the Annual Session of the State Grange adopted may resolutions. The topics ranged from Charter Schools to the Patriot Act.
