A Message to Our Patients:

It has come to our attention that an individual who is not associated with EmergeOrtho has been posing as our representative and calling some of our patients. The scammer requests credit card account numbers or other personal information in order to complete fake orders for braces or other medical equipment. Sometimes the individual calls multiple times on the same day.

Please be cautious if you are called and asked to make a payment for services or items that you did not receive or that you do not remember discussing with your provider. If you suspect that a caller may not be legitimate, please consider ending the call and contact us directly to verify.

Upon first learning of these scam calls, EmergeOrtho performed a security review and can confirm that our systems and our patients’ information remain secure. We do believe this scam is primarily targeting our Medicare patients. If you have Medicare coverage and receive one of these scam calls, you may report it to the Medicare program by calling 1-800-MEDICARE.
