Beland Music Festival 4-6 May 2018

‘The Beland Music Festival’ is an open-air event dedicated to music and entertainment, involving a wide range of local and international artists. After the great success through the past five years with thousands of people attending, the 7th edition of this event is being organized between the 4th and 7th May 2018, at Market Square in Zejtun.

This event started in 2011 as a way to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Beland Band. The outcome of that activity was so much beyond our expectations that we could not resist organizing another one on the following year and this gave birth to the Beland Music Festival becoming an annual event.

Festival spans over 3 days kickstarting the Maltese summer between Friday 4th and Sunday 6th May 2018

Following their success at the Beland Music Contest 2017, where they emerged as the winners!

Relikc will be launching their new single on the first night of the festival, during their live gig.

Full live concert by the much-loved group Travellers. Renowned for their fantastic, jam-packed shows, Travellers will continue their musical journey to share positive vibrations while keeping the concert crowds bouncing to their rhythms.

We’re very pleased to announce our BELAND MUSIC CONTEST 2018, which is supported by the Cultural Partnership Agreement managed by Arts Council Malta. The competition gives new Malta & Gozo based acts of any musical genre the chance to compete for a slot on the main stage at this year’s Festival.

There are a total of 6 slots up for grabs, 2 at each night of the Beland Music Festival 2018. The final 6 bands will take part in a competition for the best live performance during the festival.

The winner of the free-to-enter competition will be awarded with the recording and production of a new single at Jagged House studio, complete with recording of video.

To enter, acts need to supply a link to one original song on SoundCloud or YouTube, plus a link to a video of themselves performing live (even if it’s recorded in a garage).

Please send your request to festival@belandevents.com by 18th March 2018.

All received applications will be reviewed by a specifically appointed board and 6 finalists will be short listed and assigned to 1 of the 6 available slots during the Beland Music Festival 2018.

The live performances will be judged by a panel of professional experts from the local music industry.

Anyone can apply, preference will be given to acts who have never performed at the

Beland Music Festival.
